Campaign Highlights

“After our son Andrew died in 2011 following a long struggle with schizophrenia, we wanted to make a difference for others.”

Having the right physical space for healing is so important. By providing seed funding for McLean’s WellSpace program, we were able to both honor our son and help ensure better outcomes for young adults who are experiencing psychosis. We are also thrilled to support this new child and adolescent campus, so that other young people will get the care they need, when they need it—in a space designed just for them.

There are many reasons to give. Perhaps mental health issues affect people you know. Maybe you have an interest in the health and welfare of children and adolescents. It could be that you understand it’s simply the right thing to do.

Whatever the reason, let's talk.

Chris and Connie Hadley

“We support child and adolescent care at McLean because we know how critical it is to diagnose and treat mental illness early and provide that treatment in a space that promotes healing and wellbeing.”
“McLean Hospital is the number one center for psychiatric care in the nation. I’m happy to do what I can to ensure it stays that way.”

Through the annual Ride for Mental Health, I’ve helped raise more than $1 million for McLean. These critical funds have supported the full range of its mission: from clinical programs to early-stage research, and from capital needs to education, training, and stigma reduction. A stronger McLean means stronger people and stronger communities, here and around the world.

Mac Dorris
Founder, The Ride for Mental Health

“Many of our young patients come to us with multiple diagnoses and complex presentations. It is crucial that we educate and train the next generation of clinicians to adequately assess and meet the specific needs of the children and adolescents we serve.”
With improved physical spaces that facilitate our fellows’ and interns’ ability to work collaboratively with seasoned clinicians, we can provide the tools and hands-on experience necessary for them to become the best clinicians they can be and make a greater impact on their patients’ lives.
